Ye Retracts Apology, Doubles Down on Antisemitic Remarks in Explosive Social Media Rant

Ye, the rapper and designer formerly known as Kanye West, has once again stirred major controversy after a late-night social media meltdown. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) that began Thursday night and spilled into Friday morning, Ye not only took back the apology he made in 2023 for his past antisemitic statements but also openly embraced Nazi ideology, professing his admiration for Adolf Hitler.

“I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments,” Ye wrote in a profanity-laced post, completely reversing the apology he issued in Hebrew two years ago. Back in 2023, after facing backlash for antisemitic and pro-Nazi remarks, Ye had asked for forgiveness, stating it “was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.” That apology came in the wake of major brands—including Adidas—severing ties with him.

However, his latest tirade makes it clear he no longer stands by those words, reigniting concerns over the rapper’s increasingly extreme rhetoric.

Backlash from the ADL and Others

The reaction was swift. Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, condemned Ye’s statements, calling them “a flagrant and unequivocal display of hate.”

“We know this game all too well,” Greenblatt stated Friday morning. “Let’s call Ye’s hate-filled public rant for what it really is: a sad attempt for attention that uses Jews as a scapegoat. But unfortunately, it does get attention because Kanye has a far-reaching platform on which to spread his antisemitism and hate. Words matter. And as we’ve seen too many times before, hateful rhetoric can prompt real-world consequences.”

Ye’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding his inflammatory remarks.

Rant Covered a Wide Range of Topics

While his antisemitic comments grabbed the most attention, Ye’s social media rant wasn’t limited to that. He also weighed in on several unrelated topics, including Elon Musk, Donald Trump’s inauguration, and his wife Bianca Censori’s controversial Grammy Awards outfit—a see-through dress that sparked a media frenzy last weekend.

“I have dominion over my wife,” he posted, further fueling criticism of his views on women and relationships.

Ye Claims He Was Misdiagnosed

Over the years, Ye has spoken publicly about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. However, in a recent podcast interview, he claimed that diagnosis was incorrect and instead suggested that he is actually autistic. The statement only adds another layer to his increasingly erratic public behavior.

The Bigger Picture

This latest incident highlights an ongoing concern: Ye continues to use his massive platform to spread divisive and dangerous rhetoric, with no apparent consequences. While some of his supporters continue to defend him, many others—fans and former business partners alike—are left wondering just how far he’ll go before facing serious repercussions.

As the fallout from his latest outburst unfolds, one thing is certain: Ye is not backing down, and his words are once again sending shockwaves across the world.
