Dave Kindig Wiki.
Dave Kindig is a renowned car designer and restorer, recognized for his exceptional craftsmanship in the automotive industry. Despite not having a college degree, Dave's passion for cars began at a young age. As a child, he loved playing with car toys and sketching his own car designs. He developed a particular affinity for Volkswagen vehicles and even had a VW club as his first car, which he meticulously worked on when he couldn't find suitable spare parts in stores.
Dave gained valuable experience working at a high-performance car restoration company for eight years. During this time, he honed his skills in coatings and various bodywork techniques. He also had the opportunity to travel across the United States, observing different car designs and businesses. However, the routine of working in a company day after day didn't align with his desire for flexibility and freedom. Thus, he made the decision to leave his job and establish his own garage.
In 1999, Dave Kindig took the leap and founded his own company, which he named Kindig-It Design. Starting with a modest investment of just $4,800, Dave was confident in his success, fueled by the support of his wife, his unwavering passion, and the experience he had acquired over the years. Today, the shop has grown significantly, occupying a 27,000 square foot building owned by the company. It is worth noting that the journey began in a rented workspace spanning 4,500 square feet in Salt Lake City, Dave's hometown.
Dave Kindig's wife, Charity Kindig.
Dave Kindig's wife, Charity Kindig, is the co-owner and vice president of Kindig-It-Design. The couple started their journey over twenty years ago and now oversee a thriving company. They first met at a dance party when Charity was still in high school and subsequently fell in love. They celebrated their wedding on July 11, 1992, and are soon approaching their 31st anniversary.
Charity and Dave share a deep passion for cars, which played a pivotal role in bringing them together. It was Charity who encouraged Dave to start his garage, which has expanded significantly over the years. Currently, she holds the position of vice president in the company.

As Kindig-It Design approaches its 25th year in operation, Charity has elevated her role within the company to remarkable heights. Not only does she hold the position of co-owner, but she also serves as the vice president, assuming responsibility for virtually every aspect of the business.
Furthermore, Charity took the initiative to establish and contribute to the design and sales of Kindig-It Design apparel. While her 27-year-old daughter, Baylee, now oversees this venture, Charity remains actively involved. To label Charity as the backbone of Kindig-It Design, providing essential support, structure, and ensuring the smooth daily operations, would be an understatement of her immense contributions.

Additionally, Charity Kindig owns a cute black puppy named Bugatti. There have been no rumors or stories of infidelity, and they lead a genuinely happy family life together. The couple has been blessed with two children, a son named Drew and a daughter named Baylee. If you've ever wondered, Dave and Charity's eldest child, Baylee, shares the same passion for cars as her parents. As a dedicated car enthusiast, she currently holds the position of executive assistant at the shop. Baylee's journey within the company began as a parts runner, gradually working her way up. On the other hand, their youngest child, Drew, possesses a creative spirit of his own. While he may not share the same enthusiasm for designing cars, he channels his artistic talent into creating theater sets and exploring the realm of furniture design.
Dave and his son
Emerging as a notable figure in her own realm, Charity's fascination with cars began in her early years. Growing up with a father who immersed himself in hot rodding and car clubs, alongside a mother who shared a genuine admiration for classic cars, Charity was surrounded by the fervor of the hot rodding world from a young age.
Even before she could operate a vehicle on her own, Charity found delight in attending car shows and cruise-ins with her parents. She fondly recalls cherished memories of her childhood, such as playfully dropping pebbles and pennies through the floorboard of her mother's '55 Bel Air. As the time came for Charity to acquire her driver's license, another Chevrolet vehicle left an indelible mark on her life. This time, it was a 1967 Chevelle that her father purchased for her as her very first car.
Fueling her passion for cars at a young age, Charity actively pursued her interest in the automotive world by embarking on a professional journey. She initially secured a position as a parts-runner at a local automotive shop, immersing herself in the industry. Through dedication and hard work, she steadily climbed the ranks, eventually assuming the role of manager and overseeing the operations of the warehouse.
Following her experience in the aftermarket shop, Charity's next venture in the automotive field was as the co-owner and impromptu secretary of Kindig-It Design. Her commitment and contribution to the company were instrumental in its success, exemplifying her profound connection to the automotive world.
Despite juggling her roles as the vice president of Kindig-It Design, a devoted mother, and a loving wife, Charity manages to make time for her cherished hobbies. Among them are playing golf, indulging in creative decorating pursuits, and engaging in activities that involve hands-on creation. Alongside her personal interests, Charity wholeheartedly supports various causes close to her heart. The Kindig family actively contributes to initiatives dedicated to suicide prevention in children and mental health advocacy, reflecting their profound commitment to making a positive impact.

She also aims to contribute to the growth and evolution of their business in alignment with the ever-changing automotive industry. Charity anticipates engaging in extensive travel to various events while also dedicating time to restore a precious family heirloom: her father's 1957 Corvette. Working on this project alongside her father in the Kindig-It shop is a prospect that fills her with excitement.
Charity Kindig is an exceptional individual who excels as a woman, mother, wife, businessperson, and influential figure in the automotive industry. Her remarkable contributions to the car scene make her a role model for all. With her unique qualities and unwavering dedication, we are honored to recognize Charity Kindig as the latest Rod Authority Leading Lady, representing the driving force behind the success of Kindig-It Design.
