With Richard Rawlings as the undeniable charismatic figure at Gas Monkey Garage, everyone has their own favorite employee. If you were a devoted viewer of the Fast N' Loud TV series, which showcased the restoration of classic cars from 2012 to 2020, chances are you also held a fondness for Christie Brimberry, the office manager at Gas Monkey. Not only did she play a vital role in maintaining order and contributing to the business's growth from its inception, but Christie's significance on the show cannot be emphasized enough. In terms of popularity, we would argue that Christie Brimberry, known as Gas Monkey Christie, is second only to the renowned Aaron Kaufman, the Bearded Wonder.

Christie Brimberry's Latest Updates: her trip for her mental health

When Christie Brimberry departed from Fast N' Loud in 2017 due to health concerns, it left fans wondering about the reasons behind her departure. By that time, Brimberry had become a recognized reality TV personality in her own regard. It was revealed that she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, prompting her to take a hiatus from the show in order to focus on her recovery. Fortunately, Brimberry has since overcome cancer and is now in remission. Although she may not be actively involved in the current iteration of the Gas Monkey Garage series, she will forever remain a cherished member of the Gas Monkey family.

A look-back when Christie Brimberry Work At Gas Monkey Garage

As a member of the Fast N' Loud cast, Brimberry served as the Office Manager at Gas Monkey Garage, working alongside Rawlings. From 2012 to 2017, she played a vital role on the Discovery Channel show, which involved various responsibilities such as accounting, project scheduling, car purchases, parts acquisition, sales, and staff management. With the garage's owner, Rawlings, also juggling hosting duties on the show, these tasks proved too overwhelming for him to handle alone.

In a 2013 interview on the Gas Monkey Garage and Richard Rawlings' YouTube channel, Brimberry shared the story of how she found herself working at Gas Monkey Garage. Interestingly, her husband happened to be Rawlings' hairstylist. Recognizing the need for an efficient administrator, Rawlings approached Brimberry for the position. Making her first appearance in the episode "Frankensteined Ford," Brimberry played a crucial role in sourcing the necessary parts for the team's projects. This particular endeavor continued to evolve, culminating in 2014 with the installation of a supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine.

During the same interview, Brimberry discusses additional aspects of her work, including one particular responsibility she refers to as "Dealing with Tom." Tom, a highly energetic member of the team, proves to be quite a challenge. Brimberry recounts instances where she had to remind the mechanic to lower his voice or step outside, as he tends to get carried away with his exuberance. Responding to a rather peculiar question, Brimberry playfully suggests that if Tom were to engage in a fight with a frail ape, he would emerge victorious.

She boasts a substantial following, with over 117,000 followers on Twitter, 345,000 followers on Instagram, and an impressive count of over 1.2 million followers on Facebook. On these platforms, she takes pleasure in sharing updates about her family, her professional endeavors, and the noteworthy events in her everyday life. In contrast to some former Gas Monkey employees who departed for personal reasons, Christie Brimberry's departure was solely due to health concerns. In October 2016, she underwent surgery to remove a cancerous lymph node from her thyroid gland. Displaying her resilience, Brimberry shared an inspirational message on her Facebook page, urging her fans and followers to prioritize their health and undergo regular check-ups.

Unfortunately, the procedure did not come without complications. The life-altering surgery left Brimberry with a permanent impact on her voice box. Taking to social media, she confirmed that the nerve to her larynx had been severed, rendering her voiceless for an extended period, potentially up to six months. Although she required a throat tube post-surgery, Brimberry expressed hope as she anticipated its removal, marking the beginning of the healing process. Furthermore, radiation therapy was deemed necessary in her ongoing battle against cancer.

Following her diagnosis, Brimberry underwent chemotherapy as part of her comprehensive treatment plan before proceeding to surgery. Thankfully, both her fans and Brimberry herself can rejoice as she has successfully conquered cancer. In December 2017, Brimberry took to Facebook to share the wonderful news of her official cancer-free status after a challenging and arduous battle. Just a month before, she had undergone her last treatment and subsequently underwent a one-year bone scan, which yielded negative results, providing further reassurance of her recovery. The Gas Monkey Garage Facebook page extended warm congratulations to Christie, responding to her post with a heartfelt message, acknowledging her remarkable journey.
